Visits run weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on your tank size and stocking — and one-time deep cleans are available if a tank has gotten away from you.

Every visit starts with a water test and a look at the livestock. If something is off — a parameter spike, a fish behaving strangely — it changes what the rest of the visit does, so the check always comes before the bucket.
The full clean
Water change, filter service, glass and décor algae removal, and substrate vacuuming, done in an order that doesn’t shock the tank. Your floors and furniture stay dry — this is a service call, not a splash zone.
Report and recommend
You get told what the water said, what was done, and what (if anything) needs attention before the next visit — a heater running weak, a fish worth watching, a filter pad on its last cycle. No surprises, no upsell pressure.
What It Costs
Maintenance is quoted per tank: the main factors are tank size, how heavily it’s stocked, and how often you want visits — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. A lightly stocked 20-gallon on a monthly schedule is a very different job from a heavily stocked 125 on a weekly one.

Maintenance & Cleaning Questions
How often should my aquarium be professionally serviced?
It depends on the tank, not the calendar. A lightly stocked tank with good filtration can do well on monthly visits, while heavily stocked tanks, messy eaters like cichlids and goldfish, or tanks that have had algae problems usually need bi-weekly or weekly service. Carlos will recommend a frequency after seeing your tank and its water numbers — and it can be adjusted once a few visits show how fast your tank actually drifts.
Do I need to do anything between visits?
Feeding — and that’s about it on a proper schedule. You’ll get straightforward guidance on how much to feed (overfeeding is the number-one thing that undoes a fresh cleaning) and what to keep an eye on. If something looks wrong between visits, you can call or text rather than waiting for the next appointment.
Can you take over a tank that’s been neglected?
Yes — that’s a common starting point. A tank that’s been sitting green or cloudy usually gets a one-time deep clean first, done gradually enough that the fish aren’t shocked by sudden water chemistry swings. Once it’s stable, a regular schedule keeps it from sliding back.
Do you service office and business aquariums?
Yes. Home and office tanks across the Birmingham metro are both regular stops. For businesses, visits can be scheduled around your hours so cleaning never happens in front of a lobby full of customers, and your staff never has to touch the tank.
