Double Vision Aquatics is Carlos Bickham — a certified Aquarium Maintenance Professional based in McCalla, Alabama, and a lifelong aquarist. Born from a love of aquatic life and a desire to help others experience the joy and peace a well-designed tank brings, the business has one deliberate feature: it's one person.
The person who designs your aquascape is the person who installs it and the person who shows up to maintain it. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a builder, and a tech — because they're the same set of hands.
The Showroom Is the Portfolio
In McCalla, under a neon Double Vision Aquatics sign, runs a wall of live custom display tanks — planted layouts, cichlid communities, themed builds. It exists because talking about aquascaping is one thing, and standing in front of a row of running, healthy, designed tanks is another.

Home base is McCalla — about 20 miles southwest of downtown Birmingham — and service runs across the metro: Bessemer, Hueytown, Pleasant Grove, Concord, Adamsville, Hoover, and over the mountain to Homewood, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Pelham, Alabaster, Helena, with reach toward Tuscaloosa.
